Calabasas Dream Home
This young family needed a more spacious and organized home where they could easily entertain family and friends as well as comfortably relax together. They wanted it to feel airy, light, friendly and open; sophisticated and chic without being intimidating. After buying the house they realized that the inefficient design was forcing them to live 90% of the time in 20% of the space!! Also, the kitchen and master bathroom needed to be updated with new appliances, materials and more storage! Their top values were: function, beauty, quality and budget. By eliminating the walls of the first floor’s many rooms, a loft-like environment was created with plenty of space to cook, relax, hang-out and entertain. By adding a ceiling above the dining room, they created more space on the second floor to expand the master bathroom and build a beautiful walk -in closet. The final result was their dream home!
